I hope our talk helped. I assure you that no one can possibly blame you for what happened at lunch today. On the contrary, several people have mentioned they were grateful for your quick wits at shielding others from shards of flying glassware and crockery. I know it's been an immense strain, feeling that it's your responsibility to make sure she eats, etcetera. Moreover, I now realise I have failed to give you the proper thanks and acknowledgement you certainly deserve. Not to mention practical support: certainly, some of the other Gryffindor prefects could have shared the responsibility along with you of endeavouring to coax food into her at every meal. I am afraid that we simply assumed you were the best person for the job, as you share a dormitory room with her. But that is certainly no excuse, and I do apologise.

Her behaviour is genuinely mystifying, isn't it? I understand your view, that she should be sent back to the clinic so the spell can be reapplied, and I am sure Madam Pomfrey will take your opinion into consideration as the decision about her future care is made: as the person who has been dealing with her the most directly, your input will of course be given great weight--so to speak.
