It was wonderful to see you, and I did enjoy myself, truly, but as for the things said before I left--please don't be angry. I didn't make any of those suggestions because I thought you weren't doing a bang up job as Head Girl. Certainly you are. I made my own mistakes as Head Boy (as you well know!), but Bill always told me that it sometimes helps to examine your own reasoning by talking things through with someone you can trust.

We didn't say anything about it, but I assume we can meet again the next Hogsmeade weekend?

What Mr Malfoy thinks I should or shouldn't be saying in public is--well, it's just none of his business, anyway.

It's bad enough that Avery said all I've done is shine a light on something that should have been kept in the dark. Do you honestly agree that we should have kept quiet if we suspected Hogwarts' students were antagonising the foreign ones? Or that there are certain circumstances when it's okay for the likes of a Bobolis or a Fleet--or a Baddock--to lord it over the others out of some misplaced sense of--of superiority?

I mean, there have been times I've wanted to knock that Delacour girl's head clean off. But do I ambush her and do it? No, of course not.

And it doesn't help when you turn what was supposed to be a--romantic--afternoon into a lesson on what your boss says I've done wrong.

Well, let's leave Mr Malfoy out of things. It is worrisome that Avery isn't backing you up, although perhaps he might listen if you point out that you both will have an easier time of it if the Head Boy and Head Girl present a united front.

It was a romantic afternoon, and a bit of a tiff at the end doesn't change that in the least.
